How to Measure a Dog?

 To get the exact size of your dog, first we need to have a tape measure so that we can measure more accurately.

In order to get the best size for your dog, we need to measure three areas: neck circumference, chest circumference, and back length.

Neck Girth: Neck girth is the measurement of the circumference of your dog's neck. First find the lower part of the neck, put the tape measure around the dog's neck and read and record the measurement.

Chest Circumference: Requires the dog to remain in a standing position, find the location of the widest part of the dog's chest, wrap the tape measure around the dog's chest, read and record the measurement.

Back Length: First find the base of the neck, extend the tape measure to the base of the tail, read and record the measurement.

The measurement process is the same for both small and large dogs, and you can use the above measurements whether you have a Whippet or a German Shepherd.

If you can't do it with the above method, you can also find a suitable piece of dog clothing and measure the size of this piece of clothing. Of course, this method is not always accurate, but it can give us some data reference.
